Llama Lips Pure Peruvian Home Cooking is a family owned and operated restaurant. Lucy is the Chef who was raised in the La Molina section of Lima and has owned two restaurants previously before arriving in the United States some 30 yrs ago. Her first restaurant was opened when she was only 18 yrs old.

Passion

She brings four generations of recipes and flavors that were handed lovingly from one generation to the next spanning over 300 years. You won’t find these recipes on the Internet because they reside in her heart! Nothing was written down, nothing is measured, nothing is frozen and all is made fresh daily. Any and all spices are imported from Peru only. She will not cut corners to compromise quality. This is true Peruvian home cooking, not restaurant food. We are not a Peruvian fast food restaurant. Lucy’s focus is on quality with a full measure of love in every menu item.

Inspiration

The Chef strives to make her plates so Peruvian authentic that we have gone to the extent of ordering and installing a Pollo a La Brasa oven directly from a manufacturer in Lima who has made it to our specifications simply for Llama Lips Restaurant. The end result is that we have a Peruvian meal roasted in a Peruvian oven, using only Peruvian spices and cooked by a Peruvian chef. The only thing more authentic would be to take a plane to Lima for lunch!
