The Heart of Llama Lips Restaurant

The Heart of Llama Lips Restaurant

Llama Lips Pure Peruvian Home Cooking is more than just a restaurant—it’s our family’s dream to come to life. My wife, Lucy, is the heart of our kitchen, bringing generations of Peruvian recipes straight from Lima to Stamford. With over 300 years of tradition passed down through our family, every dish we serve is a piece of our heritage.

Inspiration

Inspiration
Peru is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world with thousands of varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables and the most species of fish to be found anywhere on the planet! Renowned for embracing and bringing together culinary influences from across the globe with innovative fusion cuisine.

Culture

Culture
Llama Lips Restaurant is bringing Fairfield County the very best of Peruvian home-cooked cuisine. Here we were brought up by our dear mother on all the traditional healthy and nutritious foods which our family grew organically on the fertile lowlands of our homeland. Each plate has been lovingly crafted by four generations from the heart. Nothing has been written, and no recipe will ever be found on the internet. We do not serve restaurant food, only home cooking.

Authentic

To uphold our commitment to Peruvian authenticity, we've directly sourced a Pollo a la Brasa oven from the manufacturer in Lima to bring a rare culinary delight to Stamford, Connecticut. Peruvian cuisine is an explosion of flavors and is the result of years of history. It has influence from countries such as Italy, Spain, China, Japan and the African continent. It is a mixture of cultures, varieties of climates and the evolution towards a modern kitchen rich in millenary inputs such as quinoa, kiwicha and more. Among the most representative dishes that you should try when visiting Peru is the fish cebiche, the lomo saltado, the anticuchos, the Lima cause, the chaufa rice, the pachamanca, etc. And among the traditional desserts are the delicious picarones, arroz con leche and purple mazamorra made with purple corn, a typical Peruvian ingredient. Peru offers a beautiful mix of many cultures including Inca, Spanish colonialism and indigenous Amazonian – and the result is a country that is overall colorful, friendly and very connected to nature.
